Lorraine Alberts


Lorraine Alberts, harp, has received instruction in music from Indiana University, Northern Illinois University, the Chicago Civic Orchestra, and Northwestern University where she obtained her Master of Music Degree in Harp Performance. Since then, she has performed in symphonies throughout Michigan and the upper Midwest including, but not limited to, the Kalamazoo Symphony, Elgin Symphony, South Bend Symphony, and University City Symphony. She was previously an instructor of harp at Hope College, but now maintains a private teaching studio and a freelance performing career, playing with ensembles and doing solo performances in Chicago, Boston, St. Louis, and South West Michigan. Lorraine joins the adjunct faculty as harp instructor at Kalamazoo College in the fall of 2022.
