Megan Healy earned her doctoral degree in Violin Performance from the University of Colorado Boulder, Master of Music and Artist Diploma Degrees from Western Michigan University, and bachelor’s in Violin Performance from the University of Iowa. She is a student of Károly Schranz and Harumi Rhodes of the Takács quartet.
Healy works as a freelance performing artist and teacher. She has held positions with the Kalamazoo, Southwest Michigan, Cheyenne (WY), Holland (MI), and Southeast Iowa symphony orchestras and performed with orchestral and chamber ensembles across the country. In 2020, Healy founded the Kal-Haven Strings, which performs at over 50 events in southwest Michigan annually.
Healy serves as Chair of the American String Teachers Association Certificate Advancement Program and as String Department Chair for Kalamazoo Kids in Tune.
In 2021, Healy released her debut album, Aurora: A Tribute to Maud Powell.
