Hansen earned a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University. Before university, he attended Blue Lake and Interlochen Fine Arts summer camps and played with the University of Michigan Youth Ensembles.
Hansen teaches electric, acoustic, classical, jazz, and bass guitar at Kalamazoo Music School and Thompson Tutoring. Hansen has performed at Greenfield Village, The Ark (Ann Arbor), River Raisin Jazz Festival, and the Michigan Jazz Festival. Hansen was also a finalist in The Acorn’s annual Singer-Songwriter Competition.
