Michael Maganuco earned his master’s degree in harp performance from Northwestern University and Bachelor of Arts degrees in harp performance and composition from Boston University. 

Maganuco has performed with various ensembles across the Midwest and continues to play with the Lakeview Orchestra and the Lake Shore, Chicago Metropolitan, and DePaul Symphonies. Maganuco was resident harpist of DePaul University from 2014-2020 before joining Kalamazoo College’s adjunct faculty in spring 2024. 

Maganuco is also an accomplished arranger and composer. His composition Awakening Stillnesses for solo harp won the grand prize at the USA International Harp Competition in 2009.
