Kalamazoo College’s Applied Trumpet instructor Keith Geiman is currently 2nd trumpet with the Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Kalamazoo Brass, and the Kalamazoo Symphony Brass Quintet. Keith also served as principal trumpet of the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra in 2009-2011. As a freelance musician Keith has performed with the Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, West Michigan and Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestras, as well as many other Southwest Michigan arts organizations. Keith has been featured as a soloist with the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra and the Bay View Music Festival Chamber Orchestra.
Keith is very passionate and highly committed to music education and has been teaching privately for over 18 years. Since moving to Kalamazoo in 2001, Keith’s private studio has grown to over 50 students of all skill levels. He is a highly sought after trumpet instructor and clinician around the Kalamazoo area and has worked closely with band directors from the Parchment, Gull Lake, Plainwell and Mattawan School Districts. Since 2011, Keith has been honored to serve as the adjunct trumpet instructor at Kalamazoo College.
