Kalamazoo College Jazz Band – “Time Warp”

Dr. Thomas G. Evans, Director

February 19th, 2022 – 8pm

Dalton Theatre, Light Fine Arts Building

It’s always a rollicking good time when the Kalamazoo College Jazz Band takes the stage! This time, director Tom Evans leads the band in a time-travel odyssey with a concert titled “Time Warp”. What’s in store is traveling through time to see how the various jazz styles evolved starting in New Orleans and ending in the present. Included will be such standards as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy”, “Ornithology”, “Boplicity”, “Little Sunflower” and much more. As always, a good dance tune ends the show where everyone is encouraged to get up and dance! Come early and hear the preshow by a breakout trio from the band. To experience all of this for yourselves, you’ll need to be in Dalton Theatre on Saturday, February 19th at 8pm. The concert is free and open to the public. (Donations gratefully accepted). We hope to see you there. It’s gonna be dazzling!
